Emily Snodgrass is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor in Oregon with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional whose work centers on understanding the neurobiological legacy of trauma and the ways our bodies, minds, relationships, and environments shape how we move through the world. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and relational, drawing from Internal Family Systems, Clinical Hypnosis, Somatic Therapies, Existential and Spiritual Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Emily’s approach has also been shaped by more than a decade of personal study and practice in yoga and Eastern philosophy. She has completed 200-hour yoga teacher training, NeuroMeditation training, and trauma-informed, brain-sensitive yoga training. Her experience as a Death Doula and Reiki III Practitioner, along with her studies of ritual and ceremony, ancestral reverence, Practical Animism with Dr. Daniel Foor, astrology, gardening, and Vision Fast Rite of Passage work, have deepened her understanding of life as cyclical, relational, and inherently connected to the natural world.
These experiences inform a practice that makes room for both the clinical and the sacred, the scientific and the intuitive, the individual and the systems that surround us. Emily believes meaningful change happens through relationship—with ourselves, with one another, and with the living world. Her work invites curiosity about what lies beneath the surface, attention to the rhythms and transitions of life, and a willingness to unearth what is true while releasing what no longer fits.
Emily also provides clinical supervision for therapy associates working toward licensure. Her supervision is collaborative and grounded in the development of each clinician’s unique voice, clinical judgment, and way of being in the therapeutic relationship. She is currently completing the required supervised experience to be added to the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT) supervisory list.
